Here's the butchered SD45 frame to accept the shell.
Notice the long cut up the right side of the frame where the wall of
the shell will slide into. |

04/24/2004 Shell Alterations:
First off, I cut out the back side panels and
replaced them with styrene. I'm casting new doors and will
be adding them shortly. After further examination, I found
inconsistencies with the GP38 cab and front portion, but found
that the SD45 section would be a perfect match. So I chopped
up the shell a little further to mate an SD45 front end to the
rest of the GP38 shell. |
